The European Language Certificates are a system of language exams worked out basing on the Common European Framework for the levels of language command established by the Council of Europe. The exams certify the level of language accomplishment for professional purposes and deliver certificates that are, due to their wide acceptance, the key document for language proficiency required to work abroad.
TELC tests not abstract but practice oriented professional skills. It is offered in 3 levels of competence (A - basic, B - intermediary, C - proficient) having two sublevels each. In addition, profession specific profile training and exams are offered.
The applicants pass an entry test to assess the needed amount of preparation hours (between 15 and 120). Examination sessions are held twice a year.
Exams are offered in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Montana, Plovdiv and Varna.
